BRIAN HAGERMAN

Brian grew up in the Cedar Rapids area, and after graduating from the University of Northern Iowa in 1992, moved back to the City of Five Seasons and worked in the communications industry for 10 years. In 2002 he became a second-generation New York Life agent, qualifying for five consecutive councils* and earning a number of local sales awards. In March of 2008 Brian accepted the Development Manager position. Brian and his wife Michelle live in Marion and have two adult children. He enjoys cheering for the Hawkeyes, playing golf and serving at New Life Community Church.

As the Director of Development, Brian is responsible for the local implementation of NYLIC University, the Company's agent training program, and for managing sales resources. In addition, he serves on the faculty of NYLIC University at the Company's training facility in The Woodlands, Texas.

*Council is an annual company recognition program based on agent production from July 1- June 30.


DOUG GOTSCH

Doug grew up in the Greater Philadelphia area, but relocated to Pittsburgh in July 2007 to join New York Life. After assignments throughout the Northeast, Doug got the call in March 2010 to bring his management skills to Cedar Rapids. Doug lives near Shellsburg with his wife Amber and two puppies rescued from the cedar Valley Humane Society. He enjoys traveling, boating, cooking, hockey, and much to the chagrin of his co-workers, still roots for Philadelphia's teams. Go Flyers!

As Administrative Manager, Doug's primary responsibility is overseeing the General Office Administrative Services team, which aids agents in the processing of applications through the General Office.
